"4. There will be a draft lottery to protect the integrity of the league. The bottom 5 teams will participate in the draft lottery. The exact results from the actual N.H.L. lottery shall apply to our lottery."
Doesn't matter for this year, but now that all 14 teams are lottery eligible, this might need reconsideration.

I think it should just remain the same. If a team outside of the top 5 in the NHL wins the lottery, then the last place team in our league keeps the pick.

Fair enough. So, if (for example) the 7th worst team in the NHL wins and moves up into the top 5, ours would stay the same?

So, because Colorado won the lottery, I guess congratulations are in order to Louisville Laughers (who own Renegades' pick) for securing the first overall pick in our prospect draft.

First overall pick is available.
Looking for a twentysomething forward that can get me points now.
